Messaging terms

Not published yet — this page is a drafting outline

The demo form asks for a phone number and offers an optional opt-in to text messages. A2P 10DLC campaign registration requires a publicly reachable page describing the messaging programme, and carriers check that the page exists and matches the consent language shown at the point of collection. This page must be replaced with text reviewed by BYXL Software LLC’s legal counsel before the site goes live. The outline below lists what the document needs to cover.

The consent language currently shown on the demo form

  • Version 2026-08-13.1
  • I agree to receive text messages from Sopable at the mobile number provided, about my demo request and scheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
  • This checkbox is optional and unchecked by default. Consent is not required to request or receive a demo.
  • The exact wording above, its version, the submission timestamp, the source IP and the user agent are stored with every submission so the consent record is auditable.

What this page needs to state once the programme is registered

  • Programme name and the brand sending the messages (Sopable, a product of BYXL Software LLC)
  • The purpose of the messages: demo scheduling and follow-up about a request the recipient submitted
  • Message frequency — state it accurately, whether that is a fixed number or “frequency varies”
  • “Message and data rates may apply.”
  • How to opt out: reply STOP. Confirm the exact keywords your provider supports
  • How to get help: reply HELP, plus a support email address and phone number
  • Supported carriers, and a statement that carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages
  • A link to the privacy policy
  • The sending phone number or short code, once provisioned

Before enabling SMS sending

  • Register the A2P 10DLC brand and campaign with your messaging provider, and keep the approval reference
  • Confirm STOP, HELP and START keyword handling is wired to the provider's opt-out list, not only to your own database
  • Confirm the consent record captured by /api/demo is exported somewhere durable — an inbox is not an audit trail
  • If the version of the consent text changes, bump CONSENT_VERSION in src/content/site.ts so old and new records stay distinguishable
  • Do not send marketing SMS to anyone who did not tick the box. The consent record states explicitly when consent was not granted
