Mike hasn’t read the new ladder safety policy.Assigned 4 Aug
Sending the document is not the same as training the team
Every home service company already has the material. A safety manual. An install procedure. A refrigerant handling policy. A customer-property checklist. It sits in a shared drive, or a binder in the shop, or a WhatsApp group from eight months ago.
Then a new tech starts. Someone forwards a few PDFs. The tech replies “got it.” And that is the entire training record — until the day something goes wrong and somebody asks for proof.
Nobody knows who actually read it
A forwarded email tells you it was sent. It tells you nothing about whether it was opened, read to the end, or understood. When you need to know who's covered, you're guessing.
Every new hire is trained differently
The tech who joined in March got a two-day ride-along. The one who joined in July got half a morning because everyone was slammed. Same job, two standards, and you find out through a callback.
Updated policies never reach everyone
You revise the ladder safety rule. You send it to the crew. Four people read it, three don't, and nobody tracks which is which. The old version is still what's being practised in the field.
The paperwork never survives an audit
An insurer, a licensing board or an attorney asks for the signed acknowledgment from a specific technician on a specific policy on a specific date. It takes you three days to find out you don't have it.
None of this is a documentation problem. Your documents are fine. It’s an accountability problem — and that is what Sopable is built to solve.
Four steps from scattered documents to a provable record
- 01
Build your handbook once
Organise what you already have into chapters. Write policies in the editor with headings, lists, photos and embedded video, or upload the PDFs and Word files you've been using for years. Drag to reorder until the handbook reads the way you'd actually train someone.
- 02
Assign only what each role needs
An install tech needs the refrigerant and ladder procedures. The office coordinator needs the customer-data policy. Nobody needs all of it. Assign whole chapters or individual documents per person — and save the combination as a Pathway so the next hire in that role is set up in one click.
- 03
They read, acknowledge, sign and get quizzed
The acknowledge button stays locked until they've scrolled to the end of the document. Sign off each chapter with a real signature. Where you've enabled it, an AI quiz built from that policy's own text checks that the important points landed — and shows the exact policy sentence behind every answer.
- 04
Watch progress and keep the record
One dashboard ranks everyone by how much of their assigned reading they've finished, so you know exactly who needs a nudge before their first solo call. Every acknowledgment, signature, quiz attempt and checklist tick is stored with a name and a timestamp — permanently, even after someone leaves.
See it on your own policies in 20 minutes.

What makes Sopable different
Most tools prove you sent it.Sopable proves it landed.
Any platform can host a document and log a click. That log is worthless the moment it matters, because a click proves nothing about attention or comprehension. Sopable builds three layers of real evidence instead — each one harder to fake than the last.
Weaker evidenceStronger
The baseline everywhere else
They opened it
A view log. Standard in every tool, and almost meaningless on its own.
VIEWED · no other detail
Layer 1
They read to the end
The acknowledge button is disabled until the employee reaches the bottom of the document. You cannot acknowledge what you haven't scrolled through.
ACKNOWLEDGED 14 Mar 2026 09:42
Layer 2
They signed the chapter
Once every document in a chapter is acknowledged, the employee signs the chapter once — drawn or typed, with a stored timestamp. It replaces the paper acknowledgment form your office has been filing, and it's retrievable in seconds instead of days.
SIGNED 14 Mar 2026 09:44 · M. Okafor
Layer 3
They understood it
An AI quiz generates fresh questions from that policy's text on every attempt. There is no fixed answer key to pass around, no last year's copy circulating in the crew chat. Every correct answer is shown with the verbatim policy sentence that proves it — so even a wrong answer teaches the right one.
QUIZ 9/10 PASSED · policy v3
The part that keeps it honest over time
Policies change. When you edit a published document, Sopable bumps its version and flags every person who already acknowledged the old one with “Updated since you read it.” They read the new version and acknowledge again. If the change affects a chapter they’ve signed, they can be asked to re-sign.
Nobody sends a company-wide email. Nobody keeps a spreadsheet of who’s on which version. The record stays true to what people actually read — which is the only kind of record worth having.
Everything you need to run onboarding and training
Ten capabilities, one system, no add-ons to buy — all of it included at $4 per person.
Your company handbook, single-sourced
Chapters and documents in one place, written in the editor or uploaded as PDF, Word or Excel. Update a policy once and every affected person is flagged to re-read it. No stale copies floating around.
Role-based assignments
Each person sees only the policies that apply to their job, so required reading stays short enough to actually get finished. Assign a full chapter and new documents flow to them automatically.
Pathways for repeat hiring
Save the exact set of policies a role needs, then apply it in one click every time you hire for that role. Edit the pathway once and future hires get the updated set.
Scroll-gated acknowledgment
The acknowledge button unlocks only at the end of the document. Date and time are recorded. It's the closest thing to signing the last page that software can do.
Signature sign-off by chapter
One real signature per chapter, timestamped and stored, unlocked only once every document inside it is acknowledged. Retrievable any time, including for people who've left.
AI quizzes from your own policies
Turn on a quiz for any text-based document. Questions are generated fresh from that policy's text on every attempt, and every correct answer is shown with the exact line from the policy that proves it. Set the question count, difficulty mix and pass mark yourself.
See who's read a specific policy
Open Insights on any document to see exactly who has read it. When you've just revised your safety policy and need to know who's covered, that's the screen — not a report you have to assemble.
Checklists, workflows and tracked runs
Capture a repeatable job — new hire IT setup, first-week orientation, equipment handover — as a checklist. Bundle checklists into a workflow. Trigger it and every person involved gets their own copy, with each tick recorded permanently against their name.
Live org chart and people register
Add someone with their work email and who they report to; the org chart redraws itself. Deactivate a leaver and their access ends while their entire compliance history stays intact.
Your brand, not ours
Upload your logo and set every colour in the portal — brand colours, surfaces, feedback states — with live preview before you save. Your crew signs into something that looks like your company.
No passwords. Because your crew won’t remember them.
Field software dies on login. A technician standing on a customer’s driveway is not going to reset a password, and half the reason training platforms go unused in the trades is that nobody can get in.
Sopable has no passwords at all. Your tech enters their work email, gets a 6-digit code in their inbox, and they’re in. Codes work once and expire in ten minutes. There’s nothing to create, nothing to reset, and nothing to leak — access is tied to the work inbox you already control.
When someone leaves, you deactivate them and the door closes. No password to change, no shared credential still floating around the crew.

Sopable AI
AI that quizzes your team on your policies — and shows its work
Sopable reads the policy you wrote and generates the quiz itself. Not a generic safety question bank — questions built from your document, about your rules.
Every attempt generates new questions, so there’s no answer key to memorise and nothing to pass around the crew chat. And every correct answer is displayed with the verbatim sentence from your policy that proves it — so the quiz teaches while it tests, and you can see exactly why an answer is right.
You control the question count, the difficulty mix and the pass mark. The results view shows attempts, average score, pass rate and each person’s full history, so you find the knowledge gap before an incident does.
Available today: AI Quiz generation on any text-based document in your handbook.
In development: AI SOP writing, AI Quick Onboarding, and an AI assistant that answers questions from your own documents.

Straight answers
My techs aren't going to use another app.
There's no app to install and no password to remember. They open your company's Sopable link, enter their work email, get a 6-digit code in their inbox, and they're in — on whatever phone they already have. If they can receive a work email, they can use Sopable.
We already have all our SOPs written.
Good — that's the hard part done. Upload them as PDFs or Word files, or paste them into the editor. Sopable isn't there to rewrite your procedures; it's there to make sure they're read, signed and understood.
What happens to the records when someone quits?
Deactivating an employee ends their access immediately but keeps every acknowledgment, signature and quiz attempt they ever made. That's deliberate — the record is often most valuable after someone has left.
Can managers run this without me?
Yes. Managers get the full admin area — content, assignments, workflows, runs, employee records — with company settings staying admin-only. You can hand day-to-day running to an ops manager without handing over control of the account.
Is this going to look like generic software to my crew?
No. You upload your logo and set every colour in the portal, with live preview before you save. Your team signs into something branded as your company, not ours.
See it running on your own policies
No obligation · We'll tell you if you're not a fit
